Characteristics Refined Marseille soap, made by Le Serail soap factory, is an authentic dehydrated Marseille soap (the water is extracted by natural drying). Indeed, the raw olive or vegetable Marseille soap is grated into shavings before undergoing an additional drying of 15 days, in order to eliminate all the water contained during its manufacture to avoid the bad aging of the product, in particular when it is destined for countries with a hot or humid climate. It will then be remolded and stamped. Just like raw soap, it contains no colorants, perfumes, preservatives or whiteners. It is also made by saponification in a cauldron according to the "Marseillais process".
